- [2026/01] New Course. I will launch a new undergraduate course in Spring 2026, SBU 102.S260: Smart Grids with AI and Quantum: Hands-On Explorations . This 10-week course introduces first-year students to how emerging AI and quantum tools may shape future energy systems.

- [2025/12] Paper Accepted by IEEE TPWRS. Our recent work, HyMod , has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Power Systems. HyMod is a physics-data-hybrid mode decomposition approach for accelerating multi-contingency simulation of power grids.
- [2025/11] Paper Accepted by IEEE TIA. Our recent work, QTSA-PANE , has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications. It develops a noise-aggregation-enhanced quantum federated learning framework for power system transient stability assessment.
- [2025/11] Best Paper Award from iEnergy. Our survey paper, Quantum Computing in Power Systems , received the 2025 Best Paper Award (Gold), as selected by the iEnergy editors.
- [2025/10] Paper Accepted by IEEE TIA. Our recent work, LPHN-Sim , has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications. A parallel-in-time neural simulator, guided by low-fidelity physical solvers, enables accelerated dynamic simulation without requiring densely sampled training data.

- [2025/01] Stony Brook Discovery Prize Finalist. I am selected as one of three finalists for the 2025 Stony Brook Discovery Prize . Held biennially, the Discovery Prize is one of SBU's most prominent recognitions for bold, pioneering research by early-career faculty. Grateful for the opportunity to share our research vision.

- [2024/12] AI Youth Star Award at IEEE BigData 2024. Our paper on Quantum Kernel Classification for Data-Driven Power System Stability Assessment received the AI Youth Star Award at the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Big Data. The first author, Trisha Sabadra, is a high school student we mentored through the SBU CSIRE program.
